I fucking hate elevator shaming. It makes me hate myself. Fucks who put shit like this on elevators need to stop policing everyone out of “concern”—we.don’t.give.a.fuck. You can take the fucking stairs, I’ll continue taking the elevator and throwing your glares and incredulous, disgusting looks at my healthy looking legs right back in your ignorant faces.

Also, did the person who took this photo do it with the person in the chairs permission? Because if not, congratulations, you’ve joined the historical ranks of people who use disabled people’s bodies for their own amusement without concern for consent!!

My mother pulls shit like this whenever we’re anywhere with escalators/elevators and also stairs. My mother, who was there at the hospital after my accident, and at the endless specialist appointments in the years that followed, and the lawsuit, and… society places a moral value on stairs the likes of which can only be otherwise found on gym memberships and salad.
